Well done to all the Students in Maxi Workshop last August/September!

The Maxi Bear Workshop is designed to be an Intermediate Class for junior bear artists who wish to improve and learn new techniques. This workshop is designed for a class to be held in Melbourne Teddy Bear Store, Bear Essence this October.

Having fun at Wayneston Studios
However, we have received feedback from our students that they would like to have a similar class in Singapore, hence we hear them and decided to do it last August.

We are pleased to have a total of 5 students, signed up for the class namely, Nicole, Joanne, Su Ling, Jenny and Kelly.

Celebrating Singapore's National Day

As mentioned, this is an Intermediate Class, the Maxi Bear requires more sewing as there are more pieces on the pattern design. Students gets the experience to sew 2 different coloured fur together to create contrasting colour combination to enhance the appearance of their bear.

One of the highlight of this workshop is learning how to needle sculpted paw and foot pads for the bear. This is not an easy technique, it requires lots of practise and will need years to make a prefect shaped fingers and toes.

In this class we also cover how to embroider a beautiful nose and later how to apply beeswax to make the nose shine.

At the end of the day, all students managed to create their very own unique Maxi Bear. They all looked completely different and that's the beautiful of handmade after all!

Softie Bear Workshop @ Bishan CC, 5 September 2018

We are excited to conduct another Softie Bear Workshop at Bishan CC again.

This time we have 3 pairs (Parent & Child) learning to make a bear with us. As the school holiday has just began, this is the best time to reward the children with a bear making workshop!

We are glad to see that parents are coming to learn to make a bear with them. This activity promotes family bonding and learning basic sewing as a life skill.

At the end of the workshop, we took a group photo for the children and gave them certificates to name their bears and wrote their birth date.

We would like to thank all participants and look forward to having another bear workshop with Bishan CC again.

Polar Bear Workshop at Poi Ching School, 3 September 2018

Wayneston Studios is pleased to be invited once again to Poi Ching School to conduct another bear workshop.

This time we have 18 students accompanied with their parents. Some of the students have made a softie bear in our previous workshop and is back again to learn to make a polar bear. The students told me they have enjoyed the last workshop, this really makes our day.

The workshop took about 3 hours, with a short break in between.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Poi Ching School for the opportunity for us to share our knowledge with the children again and the helpful Parents Support Group for assisting in the workshop.

We hope to be back again in the near future to share more Teddy Bear Making knowledge with them.

Lindsey Bunny Workshop in June 2018

Hi everyone! Thank you for following and reading our blog!

Wayne has so many things to do right not and it's no longer easy to maintain all the social media platforms and pages!

But anyway we would still love to blog about what we do and we hope this will inspire more people to continue their passion in handmade crafts and do the things they love. =)

Here are some of the Lindsey Bunny Workshop pictures taken in the month of June! (Sorry for the lateness!)

Rachel and Jessie with their Lindsey Bunnies
Lindsey Bunny has been one of our best workshops this year with the most number of sign ups! Till today, we have more than 10 students who have completed their bunnies with us!

Joanne and Jenny with their Lindsey Bunnies

U-Lynn, Wei Tang, Tina and Krystina with all their lovely handmade creations

Teddy Bear making is not just about sewing! This is a great activity to build friendships and kinship.

We would like to thank all the students for their support! This give us lots of motivation to keep providing better creations for everyone to learn and enjoy!

We hope you will like these pictures as much as we do!
