Wayneston Studios is honored to be invited to conduct a creative bear making workshop at Ci-Yuan CC last month.
It was a school holiday and we had lots of fun coaching a small group of parent & child to create their very first Teddy Bear.
This is an interactive workshop for both adults and children. It encourages family bonding and communication for both to complete the Teddy Bear together.
At the end of the day, everyone brings home their handmade bears and gave even them a name!
We want to thank Ci Yuan CC for having us and we look forward conduct workshops with them in the near future!
Cheers,
Wayneston Studios & Team

Polar Bear Workshop, 26 May 2017
Ashlyn told her mum that she wants to make a Polar Bear to commemorate Inuka whom passed away last month at the Singapore Zoo.
Ashlyn choose the eye and nose colour for her bear. Wayne taught her how to sew and attach them. She learnt that she needs to stuff the poly fiber a little bit at a time so it's easier to reach the narrow areas on the arms on legs. During the process of stuffing, she switched between using her fingers and a stuffing stick from time to time.
Ashlyn is a patient student, she listens attentively to Wayne's instruction and done a great job sewing and closing the opening of the polar after stuffing.
After the polar is complete, she used black DMC thread to sew each paw lines on the limbs.
To finish off the bear, she gave the polar some bells around his neck.
Well done Ashlyn, we are so proud of you and we hope to see you again soon.
Hugs,
Wayne

School Holiday Workshop on 18 November 2017
The School Holiday Workshop held at Wayneston Studios last month was very fun! We were excited to meet 2 young children joining our class!
On 18 November, Chloe and Celeste came to learn how to make a polar bear and elephant together with their mum, Jenny.
It's was their first time learning to sew and both learnt quickly!
After the class, Jenny invited us to their house the following week to do another private workshop with them and this time three of them did a softie bear together!
It was a wonderful bonding time for the parent and children together. To the children, it's a reward for working hard in school and having a break.
Thank you for your support Jenny, Chloe and Celeste!
We look forward to meeting all of you again soon!

Softie Bear Workshop at Poi Ching Primary School, 24 November 2017
Wayneston Studios is honored to be invited to Poi Ching Primary School to conduct a Softie Bear Workshop.
As it was during the school holidays, children and parents specially took the time to come to the school to attend the session hosted by the Parents Support Group of the school.
In total, there were 29 students who signed up for the workshop. The children were very attentive in class and Wayne rewarded them with a squeaker to put into the tummy of their bears. Wayne also issued out fabric hearts to the children, which could be placed into the bear's tummy or sewn on. The heart represents kindness which we hope to cultivate into the children from young.
The children were very attentive and well behaved, following Wayne's instructions as he guided them. We were glad to have several parents from the Parents Support Group helping out in the session, assisting the children when they faced difficulties. The children first inserted the nose and stuffed poly fiber into their Bear's head and legs.
After the head and legs were done, they inserted a squeaker and fabric heart into the bear and closed the opening.
Wayne demonstrated how to sew the eyes onto the Bear's face. We were very glad to have a group of helpful parents assisting with the sewing for some of the younger students.
At the same time, parents took the opportunity to learn sewing techniques from Wayne which they could later on teach their children during their free time.
After the event, we took a group picture together with the parents and students.
Thank you Poi Ching Primary School for the opportunity for us to share our bear-making experience with everyone.
We look forward to working with Poi Ching Primary School again in the near future.
Cheers,
Wayneston Studios & Team
