Feeling unwell today... but the arrival of an early christmas gift makes me feel better

Today is a bad bad day... I seldom fall sick but today it's my turn :( I have stomach flu and diarrhea, this is really a bad combination. I couldn't go to work hence i have been resting at home after visiting a clinic.

I have tried drawing a new design and cutting some patterns, but my body couldn't let me do so... :(
Just when i m feeling the worst that could have happened to me, a gift arrived at my door step.

In my few posts below, I had mentioned that I have adopted a bear during the Teddies Worldwide Show, she has arrived my house this afternoon. In fact, she has reached my house last saturday, but my brother who thought that the postman is a stranger knocking at our door, he refuses to open the door... i m angry over this and we have a quarrel. LOL...

Anyway, today I am going to reveal my Special Xmas Gift, that i have saved for a long long time to get her =)

Joanne's works have always inspire me, even before I become a bear artist one year ago. Remembering the first time that I saw her works on the internet, my jaws dropped, her creations have never failed to amaze me, they seems to connect with me and telling me that one day i m going to own one of her bear. A pair of custom bunnies for my friend's wedding =)

Here's a pair of bunnies that I have been working on for the past few weeks. I have spent my time slowly working on them, drawing a new design and carefully trimmed the fur for the sweetest facial expression.

I have been requested to make this pair of bunnies since July.... however due to my committments for the Singapore Bear Show and Teddies Worldwide Show, the making has been delayed. Oh dear... but luckly I can still manage to find some time to complete them before her wedding which will fall on next year 1st Jan 2010.

Thank you for your support in the Teddies Worldwide Online Show

Today I can finally reveal my pieces on my blog... i m vry eager to show them to you =) Daxtor, Raldolph and Jasper were made a month ago specially for this online show. I am pleased that Jasper has found a new home and he is on his way now to Canada!

Here's Daxtor and Raldolph, they are now available, looking for a good home. I will list them on Bear Pile & Etsy. I would like to thanks all that has come to visit Wayneston Bears page during the show. This is such a fun event and I am planning to take part again =)

Guess what! I have got myself a Xmas gift from the show! This is the BEST GIFT i ever had! Haha! I am not going to say I have gotten for myself :P No worries, i will share pictures of my special present on my blog when i receive it. Some hints?... She is a lovely 7 inch bear, made by a lady who has always inspired me, her works are fabulous, it's my dream to have one of her bears in my collection and I am looking forward to welcome this sweet little bear.

Alright now that the Singapore Bear Show and Teddies Worldwide Show is over, I am now gearing up and preparing for the Seoul Teddy Bear Show in December! Yeah!

Aloysius & his new home

Guess what! Today I received 2 photographs of Aloysius.

Aloysius is my first give-away bear and Darcy is the lucky winner.

I am glad that Aloysius has found a good home and a great helper to Darcy with the Halloween Decorations.

 Look! He is so greedy, he wants all the candies for himself! You should stop overeating... 

I think you need a healthy diet. Darcy, please watch his diet :)

I just finish my website for the Teddies Worldwide last night and complete making a custom Wayneston Baby. Photos of her will be ready next week.

Next event~ Teddies Worldwide Holiday Bear Show

I am getting ready for the Teddies Worldwide Holiday Bear Show now. We aren't allow to show any of our creations on facebook, blog or anywhere yet... it's going to be surprise for everyone to see bears from 75 International Artists.

Sneak Preview will start on 15th November 2010, I am so excited!
Right now I need to work on my website for this show, sew more bears (hopefully) and then work on my custom bears and rabbits. Schedule is so tight for me, I hope I'll have more time to make all this happen!

I am currently spending some time sorting out my mailing lists and figuring how it works, please be patience. I'll send a mail out to everyone when it is ready =)

Today is the big day, I had spent a wonderful day at the Arts House. I met new faces and it's really fun chatting away with our local bear artists and visitors.

Some of my classmates dropped by to pay me a visit, thanks Wenxiang, Yi Ting, Songwee and Yulia, your surprise visit had brightens my day! P.S thanks for the beautiful flowers Yulia! they smell really nice =)

Willowing & Friends are now having the "Art, Heart & Healing" a free online 4 weeks workshop! I have just watched some of the videos, it looks pretty fun!

Wayneston Baby Amber

I hope everyone enjoy their Halloween night with family and friends yesterday =) I have alot of fun Bearing the whole day...

This week Baby Amber is here to say hello to everyone. She is made from beautiful apricot mohair from eteddys. I am lucky to purchase this last piece of mohair from Alison McKee =)

Amber is now on her way to Canada to meet her siblings and should be arriving her new home next week.
