A Dragon for a Monkey

Last month I had a swap with one of my favourite artist, Angelica Holm. Angelica lives in Spain and she is one of the best monkey maker/artist that I have met so far. Her works are unique, original and had excellent craftmanship, she is a great inspiration to me.

I was thrilled when she agreed to have a swap with me, I have always wanted to add her monkey into my collection. Angelica chose a dragon named Amaryllis made by me and I am very glad and honored to make this exchange.

This time, I took some photos of the monkey with my office's high-end Canon camera in a shadow box, the results were superb! With the use of 2 slave lightings on both sides of the shadow box and the master flash attached on the camera, it minimizes the shadows casted and enables a sharper image of the monkey.

Here are 3 of the best shots (Please let me know your comments so that I could improve on my photography, thank you!)

These are some photos of Amaryllis which I sent Angelica for the monkey swap:

We hope you enjoy reading about our swap today. WE HAVE MORE SWAPS STORIES TO SHARE THIS YEAR!!! Have a great day! =)

Hugs, Wayne

  2. What a great swap. I love both the monkey and the dragon.
The photos of both are very good, but I do think the cool pale background of the monkey's image really helps show her off.
