As the 1 Day Make a Valentine's Day workshop was well received, we have decided to create a 2 Days Valentine's Day workshop.
L-R: Wayne, Rain, Cindy & Anita |
This workshop was spread over 2 weekends and thus, the students had more time to work on the finer details of making the bear.
We are glad that there were 3 students who attended the workshop namely Anita, Cindy and Rain.
It was Rain's first time making a bear whereas Anita and Cindy have made bears about 10 years ago. This was a refresher course for both Anita and Cindy and after this, they may pick up Teddy Bear making again.
It was really enjoyable coaching the ladies. After just some simple explanation on sewing techniques, they understood and started sewing right away!
This group was really interactive and we had fun sharing with each other our own personal jobs, family and friends.
In the process of making the bears, the three ladies were quick to update their social media on their progress. They started taking photos along the way and immediately uploaded them online to share with their friends!
One of the things I really like to highlight and compliment them is on their nose stitching. I am really proud of their bear nose stitches as they are really neat. No touch up was required! After the completion of their bears, they decided to keep the bear noses un-waxed since they look perfect!
The three ladies were beaming with joy upon completion of their Valentine's Day Bear, despite the fact it wasn't made for their love ones but as a special gift to reward themselves. Looking at their happy faces, I too, feel accomplished that I have managed to complete my job of teaching them how to make a Teddy Bear successfully.

I would like to thank Anita, Cindy and Rain for joining our class for the past 2 Sundays. It was my pleasure to spend my weekends sharing some of my bear making knowledge with all of you.
Hope to see you all again soon! :)
Hugs, Wayne
