Wayneston Studios was invited to Yumin Primary School last Saturday to share the art of Teddy Bear Making. This is the second time we have reached out to schools and we are truly honored to have this experience.
This is the biggest group we have conducted so far. This event has engaged 38 students ranging from 7 to 12 years old, along with 38 parents participating.
At 8.30am sharp, students and parents entered the class promptly and quickly settled down. Our team distributed the Teddy Bears to the students, seeing the excited faces on the little ones.
Wayne gave a short introduction and instructions to follow as they commenced. The students inserted the nose and stuffed their Teddy Bears with poly-fiber and the parents helped them to sew and attach the arms and eyes. In the two hour session, we observed and saw that parent and child spent a great deal of time communicating with one another. We saw both cohesive team work and close parent and child bonding, as they completed the Teddy Bears together.
At the end of the class, the students tied a ribbon around the neck of the bears and Wayne gave each a Certificate of Completion for them to write the name of their Teddy Bear and their birth date.
We would like to thank the parents for writing compliments on the feedback forms, as your feedback is very important to us. Adrian from Primary 4 even penned a lovely message for us on the white board. Thank you very much Adrian!
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Yumin Primary School and Mrs Singh for hosting this workshop and the active participation of the enthusiastic parents to make this a successful event.
We look forward to working with Yumin Primary School again in the near future.
Cheers,
Wayneston Studios & Team
